: Sephira is beautifully crafted and well-founded historical fantasy that keeps a good balance between information and excitement.
setting is the time of the Crusades in and around Jerusalem, in the Saladin and Baldwin argue for control of Jerusalem. Apart from some irrelevant non-historical information, the reader, above all, insight into Laurinas Nordic gods, which is after all, rarely taught in schools. We learn thing or two about the Aesir and the polytheistic faith, which can be found among the ancient Egyptians.
Laurina itself is a strong woman. From her father she was raised as a boy and taught in the sword fight. She is impulsive, but also intelligent and persistent. All in all, it was brought up to rule - in the absence of a male heir.
The narrator turns again and again, even if dominated Laurina. She herself told from the first-person perspective, while the author has chosen for the rest of the narrator's personal narrative perspective. That does not bother to hardly at all. Irritation may come at the beginning, but the sets soon - especially since the personal narrative is used to provide a better overview.
In general, the story to read easily and quickly. Especially young and young at heart readers will feel comfortable here and maybe even find a new favorite book. This is a story without excessive romance or action and with enough information to the small curiosity to delete.

What is almost certainly, is the division into episodes spanning approximately one-half to one hour. For audiobook listeners like me who are dedicated to the history before the sheep walking comes the very welcome. each case, one resident told Porterville something of himself and what he experienced in a episode. And since it is already exciting in the very first episode - because there already is obvious that this is not a normal horror / thriller or story is. Not all narrators are trustworthy, and most know little more than the handset itself will be questions raised en masse, a few are answered.
